F1000 Research F1000 Research
F1000Research operates a post-publication peer-review model that is fully transparent and author-driven. Scope: F1000Research publishes all original basic scientific, translational and clinical research within the life sciences and medicine, irrespective of the perceived interest level and the extent of novelty; this includes papers reporting single findings, replications, null results and negative findings. Open Data: All articles in F1000Research that report original results should include the source data underlying the results, together with details of any software used to process results, so interested readers can fully repeat the analysis. Open Access: All articles (and referee reports) are published under a CC-BY license, allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited. Like many other Open Access publishers we ask authors to pay an article-processing charge on publication (waivers apply, as outlined on the Article Processing Charges page); this is a one-off fee covering all aspects of the publication process, including the publication of multiple versions, if the authors wish to publish them.
